If you, like us, like to reach for seasonal records at this time of year but can't often find things that aren't too cheesy, then hold tight: Kelly Finnigan's second album is full of holiday sounds with members of Durand Jones & The Indications and The Dap-Kings helping her cook up a warming, fire-side soul sound that you'll have on repeat all December. Inspired by records like Phil Spector's A Christmas Gift For You, this is a lovely affair with heart swelling vocals, 60s sounding hooks and nice rolling rhythm that are perfectly gentle as background music, but also striking when you give them your full attention.
